The Fast and the Furious franchise has made hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office and since it continues to be a big money making franchise, it will continue to push out sequels. After the huge success of Fast Five, it was no surprise that Fast and Furious 6 would be made.
A lot of the cast from the Fast Five movie will be returning for Fast and Furious 6 and there will even be a return to the franchise for some original members. Now, it has been claimed that Rita Ora is set to appear in Fast and Furious 6, replacing Rihanna as one of the villains in the movie.
An insider told The Sun, “Rihanna impressed movie bosses with her role in Battleship. But schedules didn't work out and Rita really shone during castings. They loved her look and her attitude.”
Fast and Furious 6 will see the return of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson, as well as a return to the franchise for Michelle Rodriguez, who was previously believed to have been killed off. The Fast and the Furious 6 is directed by Justin Lin and will be released in both the US and the UK on May 24, 2013.
